AS A FIRST TIME AUTHOR, JAIME LEE MANN ENVISIONED STRONG, SERIES BRANDED VISUALS FOR HER FIRST BOOK, “ELORA OF STONE". SHE WANTED TO ARTISTICALLY CONVEY THE WORLD SHE HAD CREATED BUT AS A FULL-TIME COPYWRITER, SHE WAS RUNNING OUT OF TIME.

 

The Challenge

Drawing inspiration from Jaime’s first book, I was tasked with creating a compelling book cover and creating a strong brand presence that would be carried out for her Legend of Rhyme series.

 

The Solution

For the first book, I chose images and themes specific to the magical storyline in order to capture the look . I also designed the Legend of Rhyme series symbol - a toad - which acts as a thread to tie the books together. Integrating it into the cover design to other campaign elements such as Facebook and Twitter graphic quote images, the visuals flow and connect seamlessly as the series progresses. 

 

The Results

The author loved the series concepts so much that she elected to use all three covers for the entire Legend of Rhyme series. In book readings and media interviews, she has received overwhelmingly positive comments on the graphics.
